OUR TEAM

Christine Crenshaw
Patient Care Manager | Specialty Lens Coordinator

What do you love most about being a part of the Gig Harbor Eye Care team?

Being a specialty contact lens clinic and being able to see my hard work directly affecting our patients is the reason why I come into work every day. I love seeing patients who wish they could see better come in unsure if we can do anything to help leave looking like different people because they are able to see things they haven't been able to see in years! It is very motivating and gratifying to help facilitate positive changes in our community.

Something most people don't know about me is:

Before working as patient care manager, I worked as a state licensed manager applied behavioral analyst/behavioral interventionist for children with Autism spectrum disorders or sensory issues.

What do you love most about being a part of the Gig Harbor Eye Care team?

What I love most about being a part of this team is helping patients when they have little hope. From dry eye treatment to specialty contact lenses, I've seen people come in thinking at most they'd get a little more comfort or slightly better vision, only to receive treatment that has been described as life changing. It's so gratifying to help people so much, and to do so as a member of a team in which everyone is dedicated to giving the best possible care to our patients.

Something most people don't know about me is:

I spend my free time as a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, recreating medieval life the way it should have been. I fight with a sword and shield, and participate in both target and combat archery (don't worry, we wear armor). I even am authorized to help run our siege weapons during battle.

What do you love most about being a part of the Gig Harbor Eye Care team?

When I was told that our goal, as a part of the Gig Harbor Eye Care team, was to treat everyone who comes through the door like family, I knew I found something uniquely special. I’ve never worked for a company that goes above and beyond for each person the way we are encouraged to here. Every single day our team measures our success by how much we’ve been able to positively impact patients and customers lives. That’s what I look forward to each and every day I head in to work.

Something most people don't know about me is:

I am a Certified Life and Wellness Coach. I’ve always had a passion for helping others feel a greater determination to live their lives with more hope, clarity and intent. LIfe is too short to not live it with more passion and purpose despite illness, trauma, or other hardships.

I also know all the words to Sir Mixalot’s Baby’s Got Back but most people know that about me so...

What I love most about being a part of the Gig Harbor Eye team?

What I love about working at Gig Harbor Eye Care is the atmosphere that we provide for our patients. We all strive to welcome, listen and make all of our patients feel that they can trust us with their eye care.

I love that Dr. Shin gives hope to his patients to one day see better than they did before they came into our office. I look forward to each day having the moments with our patients choosing their style of glasses. I love going above and beyond to create a personized look, comfortable fit with the latest technology our office has to offer.

Something most people don't know about me is that I love spreading joy around. I appreciate that I have the title Sunshine Committee here at Gig Harbor Eye Care. I am one of the first people to greet you as you come through the door. My goal is to give sunshine in your life as you come into our practice. We want you to feel like family. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends trying new restaurants, shopping, attending sports events, creating new projects for my husband around the house. There is always something to improve or update, right!
